Moving again!!

You'd think I love to move with as many times in my life as I do this. We are moving again, this time to save considerable money! We found out about a teacher rent credit program that the city of Las Vegas offers when we were looking at buying a house. The house we live in currently does not qualify for the program as we are not in the las vegas city proper even though we have a Las Vegas address. So because the status of art teachers is still up in the air we decided not to buy but rent again. We found a house in our favorite part of Las Vegas. It is about 500 sq ft smaller than we are in right now but we are ok with downsizing, it is one story which I love right now with the pain of this pregnancy and not having to worry about kids and stairs and toys being tossed down the stairs. I will be a happy mommy! Plus no more lugging laundry up and down the stairs! HOORAY! Our Utilities will be less a month and it has a bigger nicer yard than we have right now for the kids to play in! :) The neighborhood I feel is almost an Oasis as almost everyone has a grass front yard which you don't see too much here as everyone has gone to desert landscaping. It makes me feel like home! GREEN GRASS!!! So with the rent credit and the decrease in rents we will save 840 a month. Add that we downsized to one car and are saving in a car payment and insurance we are going to save over 1100 a month from what we are currently expending. I am so looking forward to not being upside down anymore and being able to buy the kids shoes when they need it! We are also walking distance to the hospital and our Pediatrician. So as much as I hate packing and moving especially the third time pregnant moving, I am grateful for the savings so much!! I look forward to being settled and this is where we will stay until we leave Las Vegas!! Oh yes and we will only be 9miles from Lance's school instead of almost 20. That will make days I need the car so much happier on top of saving gas money in commute as well. We are so going to be in a better spot this next year. There is a huge bright light at the end of this tunnel!!

Why do people get dogs, I sometimes wonder....

I hope this doesn't offend anyone, but my thoughts the last several days on this have festered since my neighbor next door got a puppy oh right around christmas time as so many people do which is fine. They have a nice big house with a huge back yard, well for three weeks now the dog has a new home on the front porch in the front yard. The cage it most of the day ( I haven't figured out how to take a picture yet) But now the last week they have just let it roam. I know it has destroyed the porch swing pillows and has dug out plants in their house only because I can here the lady next door yelling all the time and I saw the torn up porch swing pillows. So now I have to deal with a dog barking at me and the kids everytime we go out to the car. I hate this!!! This isn't the 1st time I have lived in a house where people think their dogs have a right to go wherever. Let me tell you if I see poop in my yard it will get flung right back to their yard. Why do people get PUPPIES if they don't want to deal with the chewing and messes that come with them. Half the time it's water dish is turned over accross the yard. Part of me wants to call animal control but I will watch for a while longer. We are moving in a month anyway. They are always yelling in that house and the cops have been there a few times, I can only imagine what the dog has brought to that loving household. I feel sad for it.

uh oh.... trouble

I wasn't feeling great this afternoon, I thought I just need to close my eyes for a few minutes. Rori and Liam were playing nicely I figured if I shut my eyes in the chair I would hear if they got into anything. WRONG!!! I was napping for maybe 20 minutes and I all of a sudden heard laughing and spalshing and OPENED MY EYES. There right in front of me was Liam on his little chair playing in the fish tank. Rori was standing by waiting for him to get in trouble which she likes to do sometimes. (I prefer when she is trying to be the mommy over the silent watcher of trouble) So I put them both down for naps so I wouldn't get angry and of course had to phograph the evidence. Liam is building a portfolio this month I guess!! lol!!

mooned in the moonlight

Early this morning at 4am I got up to go to the bathroom and on the way back decided to turn liam's litle lantern off to save batteries. This was the sight I recieved. liam had taken his pants and diaper off and was sound asleep. As tired as I was I had to take this picture. I guess I will resolve to putting the diaper on backward and taping it. I have to do that a lot during the day to keep it on. I guess he is a free spirit!!
