It's a ............ another boy WHAT????

I went on Friday to my friend Jennine's 3d 4d studio as she wanted to be the 1st to tell me what I was having. I am now 15 weeks and a few days. I have never been wrong before. I was completely sure this was a girl. Rori has been talking about her baby sister for weeks. (months if you count prior to pregnancy) and no I cannot do this one more time. She get the ultrasound going and I saw it right away, it was most unmistakeably a BOY! Those strong Waters boys genes! I do not know what I am going to do with 3 boys that are going to be 3 years apart. I am sure Rori will join in whatever they are doing, but I thought myself more of a girl type of mom. I guess I will have one princess and 3 rough and tumbles. I hope God remembers that I can hardly look at blood wiggly teeth and vomit lol!! I don't know how I am going to look at open wounds scrapes and broken bones. (hopefully there will be none of those) Lance nor I have had a broken bone! Anyway Rori was a little crushed but now she is talking about her new "brudder" in mommy's tummy. I had her tell Lance. She is cute. I hope they are all close. I know Rori will be closley gaurded while dating or she will be dating her brothers best friends!! hahaahahah

I did see the cord around his little neck so I hope that he wiggles out of that it makes me nervous! My ultrasound at the Dr is on the 5th of February!

I need to turn off the TV a new Rori funny...

I was just giving the kids a bath and they were splashing and playing. Rori was swirling the washcloth around and thentook it with both hands at each corner from the top and lifted it from the water and declared "Thats the power of Oxy clean!" Oh my!! I was trying not to laugh but man she is such a little sponge!!

Monsters in my eyes.....

I truly don't know where the monsters come from now. I thought for sure it had to do with what kids watched on TV, but I have even held back on showing my kids most Disney movies because of the scary parts they have. Well now we have checked out a few from the library because after Rori began being afraid of the dark and the monsters we knew it wasn't that completly. I checked out monster inc. to try to show her that monsters were not mean and such, didn't work she loves the movie though. We have a nightlight in their room but that wasn't good enough so we got her a little lantern and we still had to make multiple visits in for her crying. She has "friends" gaurding her all around her bed. We tried monster spray. She now has 2 lanterns and a flashlight. We tried handlotion that "monsters don't like when they smell" Now she has tried my sleepshades. This works for the most part. I snuck in and took a picture of her the other night.

art lessons with daddy and a little wipeout..

We went to Lance's class today so he could prep for his clay week ahead. He decided to give the kids a mini lesson in pinch pots. They were so cute paying attention. Pierce has taken off on his feet with mad passion. While at school we brought the kids their bikes to ride. Pierce had a little wipeout, ok I couldn't help but snap a few pics! I really wish I could figure out how to get text between the photos!!

6% paycut....... Oh Boy!!!

Governor Gibbons gave his State of the State address last night after sending a sappy letter to the teachers prior to his address telling about his proposed 6% pay cut but thank you for all your hard work, your pay increases will also be frozen so you could work for the next 20 years with no increase in your pay if the economy doesn't change but you do so much for us blah blah blah!
His address to me was not well thought out because he kept saying to not effect people, and to not have tax increases which will hurt businesses this is the only way. Oh thanks, I can't believe people actually clapped. Our only hope is we are under union contract and there is some legality involved so the war is beginning. From the Review Journal today:

PAY CUTS VERSUS LAYOFFS
To keep general fund services at the levels anticipated two years ago, the state would need $8 billion in revenue, said Budget Director Andrew Clinger, about one-third more than the $5.8 billion that is available, according to the latest projections.
The 6 percent pay cut that Gibbons is proposing for state employees comes on top of the elimination of merit and step increases. Public employee and teacher unions have objected to those proposals and contend they would not be legal because they would violate negotiated contracts.
Clark County Schools Superintendent Walt Rulffes thinks the School District would not be in the legal position to cut employees' salaries by 6 percent. The salary cuts, in essence, are a cut in services, Rulffes said.
"It has to come out of programs," he said.
Although the superintendent said the proposed salary cuts probably were unlawful, he also said he has fought too hard to increase teachers' pay to see it cut.
"It's an outrageous proposal," Rulffes said. "I will fight to maintain teachers' salaries. We certainly don't want to be stepping backwards now.
"We look now to the Legislature to right this proposal by the governor. I think the Legislature will head it off."
Gibbons has said the pay cut is an alternative to massive layoffs. Even with the pay reductions, 375 state employees stand to lose their jobs.
Under the proposed cut in health benefits, the state would pay 75 percent of its employees' premiums, down from 90 percent, Clinger said.
Retired state employees would see their health care subsidy reduced, and it would be terminated when they reach age 65.
Meanwhile, Gibbons plans to introduce a bill providing that employees hired after July 1 of this year would not participate in the Public Employees Retirement System, the state's pension plan.
Hicks said that a typical state worker makes about $50,000 per year. Under the budget plan, that typical employee would lose $3,000 in pay, while paying more than $1,000 a year more for health insurance

If this goes through for us this would mean about 150 a month taken from us about 1800 less for the year. I wrote the Governor a note when they announced this on the news to tell him what position teachers are already in. I know I have said this before. Teachers are so important to society that I feel they should be in the prestige of Doctors and Lawyers. I told him he is going to crumble to school system here as teachers are going to leave. We will! The cost of living here far out weighs the pay already. For us when the new baby comes just for perspective we will qualify for food stamps and we already qualify for section 8. That means we are at poverty wages and he wants to take away from that. He offered his condolences and said he would be taking the 6 % pay cut as well. Oh poor baby his 141,000 salary (which he just had increased in 2007) Will now be 132, 540 a year WAH WAH WAH. Why doesn't he try to live on a teacher salary for a year! Teacher's work their butt off. They are there before and after school sometimes late into the evening. They take their work home, and work a lot of weekends and holidays. They have to take continued classes and take tests to keep their certificates up that cost 100's of dollars. Just this month we had to pay 135 for a test and now found out he has to take 2 others that weren't required in Idaho that is going to cost us another 80 and 30. A lot of teachers in their first years such as we are work all summer to make extra money for the year. Nevada is definitely a State you are not going to want to have your kids in school in. With all his budget cuts, there is no supplies, the teachers are going to leave, no new teachers are going to want to teach here so it is going to be substitutes teaching the kids in rundown buildings with no supplies. We are already 44th in the country wait and see how fast we sink to the bottom. Teachers and Police certainly don't need a decrease in pay. Maybe we should get out of here before Rori is subjected to it!

Nice Weather....

This week the temps here in Las Vegas are in the 60's. (Oh how I do love winter here) I told the kids we could go outside to play today and got them all dressed and came out to a cat mauled dead bird in the backyard. Oh I could have puked! So I had no choice but to let them play in the front which is really nothing but driveway and rocks. I didn't have the stroller to take them to the park. Pierce started taking off on his feet a week after Christmas so this was a new world for him. He walked down the driveway and up the driveways and down and up and down and up, then he had a little fall got a little fat lip, but after mommy loves continued up and down the driveway. I think I feel a little sunburn on the back of my neck!

Who knew Taco Bell puts a spicy sauce on their quesadilla???

We don't eat out very much so I am clueless to some things especially when making a choice for toddlers. This week we were late coming home from cleaning Lance's classroom and Rori was really wanting to "not eat at home" LOL so we went to Taco Bell. I got a quesadilla for Pierce and Liam. Well we took it home to eat ok'd by Rori and I put Pierce in his chair and gave him two pieces of the quesadilla. Well Pierce started screaming between bites, like a frusterated scream. I couldn't figure it out I thought maybe he wanted his sippy so I gave it to him and he continued to take a bite and then scream. I came over to him and he had sauce all over his face, I thought he had thrown up but then there was no throw up and then I figured it out. I took a piece of the quesadilla a took a bite. They put a spicy nacho sauce on with the cheese. Who knew? I felt so bad but then had to half laugh too since Pierce ate the whole thing but was just screaming at each spicy after kick. Poor guy. Next time we go to Taco Bell we will have to remember no sauce on the quesadilla!! LOL!!

How old is Rori again????

So Yesterday morning I was talking to my mom on the phone when Rori came up to me and said "Why did Santa go to the wrong house?" I said "What do you mean, Santa came to our house." She said "But Santa left the wrong toys" I said "Santa brought lots of nice toys, why did he bring the wrong toys?" She said " He was just going to bring a little blue high chair for my babies." I giggled and said " oh sweetie I am sorry he forgot your high chair." This little 3 1/2 year old told me she wanted a baby high chair. When we went to the christmas party and visited Santa I asked her what she was going to ask Santa for and she said a high chair for my babies and she did I watched her ask him for it. But she remembered a whole month later that she asked Santa for it and now a week after Christmas she is wondering why Santa got it wrong. Her little mind works in ways I've never known a 3 year old could think or remember. We went to Walmart with a gift card we had and tried to find a baby high chair and they only had one in a group of things she already had the other pieces of. So I am ordering it online site to store. Poor thing. You'd think she would have even forgotten with all the other toys around here and she just wants to feed her babies!!!
